Boric acid

Boric acid, represented by the chemical formula H3BO3, is classified as a weak acid. It serves multiple purposes such as an antiseptic, insect repellent, flame inhibitor, and a starting material for the synthesis of other boron-based compounds.
Although boric acid is typically safe for various applications, excessive consumption can lead to toxicity. Signs of boric acid poisoning may manifest as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and skin irritations.
